Anna Lisa Tota is Vice Rector of Roma Tre University and President of the “Oscar, Bice e Cesare Castello” Foundation.
She is a Full Professor of Sociology of Cultural and Communicative Processes in the Department of Philosophy, Communication, and Performing Arts, where she teaches Sociology of Communication, Sociology of Art, and Sociology of Music. Her research interests primarily focus on the ecology of communication processes, memory studies (with particular attention to public memory of terrorism victims and migrant memories), visual studies, and gender studies. She also works in the fields of sociology of art, sociology of museums, and sociology of music.
